Chair of the Board of Trustees:

Dr. Steve Goode CBE

I have worked in Public Sector for 45 years. I believe in public service and helping communities and individuals from all backgrounds to lead constructive and fulfilled lives . I trained as a Probation Officer and became a Chief Probation Officer before entering the Civil Service in Commissioning Correctional Services both in Prisons and Prisons. I latterly had direct responsibility for 2/3 of Probation Trusts in England and Wales. In addition I was a Non Executive Director in the NHS from 2006 to 2021at both strategic and hospital level . I believe in the ability of all people to change and develop despite personal and structural challenges. I bring energy and experience plus a pride in achieving excellence which I believe is shared by all those who work at NCS. I remain passionate and committed to leading and supporting all staff and volunteers to achieve their full potential in delivering high quality services as part of a team effort, working in partnerships wherever possible.

NCS is a valuable part of our community and I'm proud to be a part of it.
