Management Team

Behind the scenes is a small group of staff dedicated to the running and management of Nottingham Counselling Service as a charity. They do a wide variety of things from making bids for funding, to updating our social media pages!

Shoana Qureshi-Khan - Executive Director

Shoana, who holds an MSc in Psychology, is passionate about serving her community and improving access to exemplary mental health services. She has tirelessly worked to enhance the lives of those affected by mental health issues and to address inequalities related to race, disabilities, and poverty. Shoana's commitment extends to working collaboratively with local organisations, businesses, and corporate entities to see tangible improvements in health and well-being across the country.

Her approach is rooted in a strong history of community involvement and partnership, recognising that collective effort is essential for meaningful change. Shoana has spearheaded initiatives that not only provide immediate support but also build long-term resilience within communities. Her work has been instrumental in breaking down barriers and creating more inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

In addition to her professional commitments, Shoana values the importance of personal well-being. She finds balance in her busy schedule by spending time outdoors and traveling with her family and friends. These activities provide her with the rejuvenation needed to continue her impactful work. Shoana's dedication to both her community and personal life exemplifies her holistic approach to health and wellness.
