We’d like to introduce two new interns at Nottingham Counselling Service!

Jess and Zoe will be joining us from the University of Nottingham Internship Scheme as Events Coordinators for the 40th anniversary of NCS.

The Nottingham Internship Scheme helps create and support internships at SMEs, for University of Nottingham students and graduates, adding value to businesses as they access new skills and talent and recruit new members of staff to complete projects or graduate roles. Here’s what they have to say about working for NCS:

“I was particularly drawn to this internship as I am interested in working in the charity sector, especially within the area of mental health. This internship is exciting because it gives me the opportunity to explore this sector and gain experience before I leave university next year, but also allows me to give something back to the local community in Nottingham.” – Zoe

“I have always been interested in working for a not-for-profit organisation, and the internship at the NCS was the perfect opportunity for me. So far, I have enjoyed the high level of responsibility given to me to organise the 40th anniversary celebrations, and I am very excited to be a part of the various events which we are holding in the coming months.”   -Jess

Jess, a geography graduate, and Zoe, a second year philosophy student, will be at NCS for twelve weeks, so keep an eye out for their exciting events programme, designed to celebrate all aspects of NCS in light of 40 years of accessible and high quality mental health support in the community. We hope to see you, our supporters, at some of these!

Best of luck to Jess and Zoe, welcome to the team!
