Sexual Abuse Project – Specialist Support for Women Survivors of Sexual Abuse in Nottingham

The Sexual Abuse Project (SAP) is a specialist group counselling project within Nottingham Counselling Service (NCS) – a registered charity and counselling provider.

We are based in Nottingham and provide support and group counselling for women in Nottinghamshire who were sexually abused in childhood.

The Sexual Abuse Project has been running counselling and therapy groups since 1997 – supporting women in Nottinghamshire for over ten years. 

Completely confidential, we provide women who have been sexually abused as children with:

• A specialist assessment and referral service
• Short term group counselling
• Ongoing (up to 18 months) group therapy
• Direct links into Nottingham Counselling Service for individual counselling
• Regular opportunities to review ongoing counselling needs.

Whilst part of Nottingham Counselling Service, the Sexual Abuse Project is funded by Nottinghamshire County Teaching PCT and Nottingham City PCT.  As a result, we can offer free short term group counselling to women in Nottinghamshire.
