Nottingham Counselling Service (NCS) is a BACP Accredited Service and longstanding placement provider for Counselling and Psychotherapy Trainings. If you are currently studying towards a counselling qualification, whether it be Diploma or Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree, we are in a position to help you.

Nottingham Counselling Service offers a necessary complement to the Counsellor/Psychotherapist journey toward qualification and accreditation with regulatory bodies. NCS offers 24 month Undergraduate and Post-Graduate placement to those undertaking Counselling/Psychotherapy trainings. NCS offers a community of counsellors in varying stages of professional development, and an on-site Clinical Team of experienced Supervisors. NCS also offers an opportunity to network and receive CPD opportunities.

What can a counsellor on placement expect?

Trainee Counsellors joining NCS on placement need to be able to commit to one day a week and, over time, deliver a minimum of three client sessions per day. Trainee Counsellors need to attend an in-person Supervision Group of 90 minutes with no more than 4 trainee Counsellors each week. Attendance at supervision is mandatory.

CPD opportunities will be made available throughout the year.

Cost

The Placement Fee is £110 per calendar month (covering supervision costs). This is to be paid by Direct Debit.
