Counselling Services Individual counselling Individual counselling Whether it’s due to problems in your personal, home, or work life, everyone at one time or another needs support and for someone to listen. Nottingham Counselling Service is here to provide just that – a supportive, confidential, and professional counselling service for 17 and over right on your doorstep in the city of Nottingham. Our individual counselling services are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Once you have applied, our admin team will contact you and you will be asked to fill in a biographical questionnaire. You will then be invited in to be assessed by one of our counsellors who will work with you to establish what it is that you want from counselling and to establish some goals. After the assessment is complete you will be contacted again once you have been assigned to a counsellor. We will contact you to arrange your first session. The therapy is one to one sessions and run for 50 minutes weekly. Your sessions will continue up to 2 years or until you and your counsellor feel you no longer benefit from the sessions. We offer therapy sessions: Virtually (Microsoft Teams or Zoom) Over the phone Face to face at building (Click here to find us) While waiting times to see an assessor and to meet your counsellor can fluctuate depending on demand, you should expect a few weeks between each point of contact. Costs NCS is a registered charity and we do not currently receive any grant funding to provide our services. The organisation is committed to offering Quality Accredited Counselling services people can trust. Dedicated to getting your life back on track and for as long as you need our support. Therefore, we require to ask clients to pay a contribution towards cost of running the organisation. This takes the form of a weekly payment each time you attend your session. The contribution you make to the charity is designed to take account of your personal income and personal circumstances with the lowest band being £18 per session scaling up to £58 per session.
